Dharma Tigers Lift T10 Cosco Trophy at Ground Rajbagh, Local Youth Renew Demand for a Permanent Playground: Chief Guest M Altafdar Rajbagh
Srinagar, Dec 05, 2025: The Grand Finale of the T10 Cosco Tournament was successfully held today at Ground, Rajbagh, witnessing a thrilling contest between Team Dharma Tigers and Team A Cube Chanpora. In an exciting finish, Dharma Tigers clinched the title, securing a well-deserved victory.
Socio-Political Activist, Senior Trade Union Leader, Civic Reformer, and Former Corporator M Altafdar Rajbagh, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, extended special congratulations (Mubarak) to Fayaz Ahmed, owner of Dharma Tigers, and Murad, the tournament organiser, for their commendable efforts in engaging and encouraging local youth through sports.
He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Khan Raja for visiting the area, acknowledging his presence as “highly appreciable.”
The tournament aimed to foster sportsmanship, unity, and healthy competition among young players. Teams from different neighbourhoods participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing exceptional energy, skill, and team coordination.
Altaf Dar highlighted that such community tournaments offer a positive and constructive platform for youth, promoting discipline, fitness, teamwork, and mutual respect while helping strengthen neighbourhood bonds.
During the event, locals and participating teams reiterated their long-standing demand for the sanctioning of a proper playground in Rajbagh. They stressed that accessible sports facilities are essential for steering youth away from drug abuse and other social evils, urging authorities to prioritise the matter.
As the Chief Guest, M Altafdar Rajbagh distributed trophies to the winning team, the runners-up, and outstanding performers, including Man of the Match and Player of the Tournament awards. He appreciated and encouraged players, organisers, umpires, volunteers, and community contributors for making the event a grand success.
Altaf Dar emphasized that sports is one of the strongest tools for community development, crime prevention, and youth empowerment, urging the administration to invest in structured recreational spaces for the better future of local youth.
