Mooj kasheer welfare trust kick started awareness campaign Rising suicide cases in Kashmir

Mooj kasheer welfare trust J&K a non profit organization based in srinagar, Jammu and kashmir who works for the upliftment for the poor and downtrodden sections of the society had marked a tremendous role in social work. It has previously organized some successful events in past where the purpose is to spread awareness on burning social evils existing in the society. 

From some last couple of months kashmir has witnessed rising cases of suicides from the different age groups and gender be it male and female. Students from different walks of life are committing suicide through the various reasons. Some are consuming poisonous substances and some are found hanging in their rooms. The alarming situation had created panic among the people of kashmir and the civil societies and administration is keen worried about this.

Mooj kasheer welfare trust under the Supervision of its chairman Mr Amir Rasheed Wani who is also a philanthropist started a campaign from the press enclave srinagar where it aims to reach out to the every district of Jammu and kashmir and to spread awareness. The trust has started the campaign from srinagar where all the members of the organization where present which includes Vice chairman, General secretary, President, vice president, district coordinators and Tehsil coordinators along with other members.

The programme was inaugurated by Tasleem Javaid (KAS) who is presently deployed in srinagar for COVID-19 mitigation work under General administrative department. Along with Tasleem Tehsildar South srinagar Mr Maeen Azhar Kakroo, ASI Zayaq Hussain and Naib Tehsildar Rayees Ahmad were present. The officers emphasized on the COVID guidelines following during the event and asked volunteers to spread awareness in the light of islam and humanity.

Chairman Mooj kasheer welfare trust J&K Mr Amir Rasheed in a statement issued here said “Rising suicide cases in kashmir is alarming and we at Mooj kasheer welfare trust are worried about it. We are committed to spread this awareness programme in all the districts of Jammu and kashmir as we want our little contribution to eradicate this social evil”.
