Srinagar , July 28, Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Tasleema Akhter has paid tribute to Imam Hussain (AS) and his 72 companions who were martyred in Karbala.
In one of her statements, Tasleema said, “Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) stood against the oppressive forces in Karbala and sacrificed his life along with 72 companions for upholding Islamic beliefs, freedom, justice and human rights.”
Remembering the bravery and principled stand of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), Tasleema said that the great sacrifices given in Karbala on the Day of Ashura will be remembered till the Day of Resurrection.
She said, “The martyrs of Karbala stood for truth, justice, equality, goodness and nobility and the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) is for all groups and communities, which is an example of the right path.”
